The SMP111 is capable of recording and streaming one HDMI Full HD input source. Content can be stored locally on an internal CF disk.

Via Recorded events the content can be uploaded automatically to the Presentations 2Go Open Video Server using CIFS or FTP.


By now you should have already followed the instructions in

  1. OVS Preparations
  2. Add recorders
  3. Extron


The following settings are SMP111 specific.



Encoder presets

  • Go to the Extron recorder web-interface
  • Select Configuration



  • Open Encoding & Meta-data from the sub-menu
  • Unfold Encoding Presets



  • Enable Recording
  • Select your default recording preset profile


Streaming presets


The SMP111 can stream either RTSP (pull) or RTMP (push). For OVS we need to set up RTMP streaming.


  • Go to the Extron recorder web-interface
  • Select Configuration



  • Open Encoding & Meta-data from the sub-menu
  • Unfold Encoding Presets



  • Change the Streaming Method into RTMP Push
  • Setup your audio en video encoding
  • Save Preset
  • Enter the Server URL to point to a Presentations 2Go RTMP bridge
  • Use the same (unique) stream name as set in Add recorders  for this recorder
  • Commit with Apply





After you have saved the initial setup, you can edit the default recorder meta-data settings. If a recording is initiated from the recorder the default meta data and access permissions will be used.
